Functions and Responsibilities
The statutory duties and related functions of Hound Parish Council are limited. However, it has the discretionary powers to act in a wider area if it chooses.
As well as taking direct action, Hound Parish Council responds to many consultation papers from national organisations and lobbies other bodies and higher tier councils on matters of importance to residents and businesses. Parish councillors are, in some cases, appointed to represent the council at local groups’ committee meetings.

You should use these numbers if:
- A crime is happening right now.
- Someone is in immediate danger, or there is a risk of serious damage to property.
- A suspect for a serious crime is nearby.
- There is a traffic collision involving injury or danger to other road users.
